This blog is a way for us to help the pre-weekend planning go smoothly for everyone. The hotel's website is: http://www.seacliffinn.com/.
I checked with the hotel, and they do offer a complimentary hot breakfast buffet every morning.
Has anyone been to the beaches there? I'm wondering if the BBQ grills there are usable. Not sure if anyone wants to lug a BBQ down there. Maybe we can bring our own grill grates, at the least, to use instead of theirs.
Looking forward to seeing you all there!
Chris
Thanks for starting this Chris! I'm not sure how to get Auntie Susan and Denise in on this. Can you either make them a contributor or send them info. about this?
ReplyDeleteI should be posting some more details about the hotel, hopefully by next week sometime. I'll see if we can BBQ on site or whether we can at the beach. The hotel coordinator did say we can have room service poolside! That's cool.
Perhaps we can throw out ideas next week about activities and meals. Then we can see what supplies we may need to bring.

The Yips and Denise should have gotten the same email that you received...
ReplyDeleteHi Folks.
ReplyDeleteI guess we're not bloggers in this family. This is my first time, but let's get this show on the road! Get blogging you guys!
Hyman and I haven't been to this hotel so we're not much help in knowing what to bring, or what the beach areas are like. Anyone bring some games--MJ, board games, cards, water guns, etc. We can always have a watermelon seed spitting contest.
Does anyone know if we'll have access to a refrigerator, in each room or in Vickie's suite? If we do, we can think about planning some foods for Saturday and Sunday lunches and dinners (glad to know the hotel will provide breakfast each morning.) Of course we can go out to eat some meals, if we so wish.
What do you folks think if we break down what we'll need for each type of meal-2 lunches, 1 or 2 dinners, multiple snacks and drinks. Then we can sign-up for what each family will want to bring. I will assume parents can bring whatever special foods their little ones will need.
Here's a suggested list:
Lunch: sandwiches, fruits, paste salad, desserts, snacks, drinks.
Dinner: main course-BBQ , starchy something, vegetables, salad, desserts, and drinks.
Snacks: microwave popcorn, chips, and whatever.
So what say you folks.
